General Information 2009 / 2010

 

1.      This season we will be running Social Touch only. 

2.      The Mount Maunganui Sports Club Touch Module will not be affiliated to Touch New Zealand.

3.      The Season will commence on Wednesday 7th October.

         a.      Semi-Finals night will be Wednesday 2nd December and Finals will be on Friday 4th December.  Prize Giving will be a part of this evening.

         b.      After Christmas, Touch will commence on Wednesday 20th January with Semi-Finals night on Wednesday 24th February and the Finals being on Friday 26th February.

         c.      A team registration sheet, which is appended, shall be completed by each team and the entry fee of $500 is to be paid by Friday 25th September.

(Failure to do so will result in the team being omitted from the competition)

d.            Entry will be for the first forty two eligible teams with registration completed and entry fees paid.

e.      We reserve the right to accept or decline applications for registration as we deem appropriate.

4.            A Team shall consist of 14 players Maximum. (Choose your team wisely)

a.            No player shall play for or be registered to two or more teams

b.            If a replacement player is to be registered it will incur a $20 per person fee payable over and above the team entry.

c.            There are to be six players on the field at any one time with a maximum of three males.

d.            A minimum of four players is required (including 1 male) for a game to commence.

e.      All teams are to have Uniforms i.e. same coloured shirts or singlets.  These should be numbered.

5.      Game Times :

         a.      First two weeks are for grading.

         b.      The games will be for 30 minutes - no halftime.

         c.      There will be three playing times

·         5.45 p.m. ~ 6.15 p.m.

·         6.20 p.m. ~ 6.50 p.m.

·         6.55 p.m. ~ 7.25 p.m.

6.      Fighting, or any sort of Referee abuse, will not be tolerated. Offending person(s) or teams will be withdrawn from the competition with no refund.

7.      Scoring:             a. Win              3 points

                                    b. Draw           2 points

                                    c. Loss                        1 point

                                    d. Forfeit          0 points

8.      Teams must be prepared to referee. An information sheet will be provided on registration

9.      There will be no prizes paid out in cash.  All teams will receive prizes on finals night.  There will be weekly spot prizes.

10.    Any cancellations will be on air at Classic Hits 95 FM.
